The large ovoid jar with sloping shoulders and an everted mouth, the body a light reddish-brown with a natural ash-glaze on the neck and shoulders and running down one side in dark green rivulets with dense crackle, potter's incised "x" mark on shoulder, kiln encrustations on shoulders
