Colored enamels in design of autumn grasses under transparent glaze, interior gilded, silver leaf on base; impressed seal on base Ohi; kakihan (cursive monogram) of the Omote School tea master Seisai (Fushin'an XII) (1861-1936) written in red enamel on underside of lid

In wood box inscribed by Seisai, Fushin'an XII, with title Ohi yaki Kenzan utsushi Musashino futamono (Ohi ware box and cover with design of Musashino after Kenzan [Ogata Kenzan (1663-1743)]) and the designation jusan no uchi [one of thirteen]
