An Inlaid Celadon Stoneware Ewer
Koryo Dynasty (13th century)
Of faceted, double-gourd form with octagonal neck and with loop handle and curved spout, inlaid on the body in white slip with vertical rows of chrysanthemum florets and in black slip with short, leaf details and inlaid in white and black slip on the faceted neck with a collar of stiff leaves below a narrow band of fretwork in white slip, the vessel also applied with a celadon glaze ending at the foot, foot rim and recessed base unglazed
