A French gilt-spelter striking mantel clock and garniture, last quarter 19th century
The case with urn finial and winged beast side mounts, with painted porcelain front panel depicting two lovers in a glade, the Roman dial painted to the centre with a house beside a river and with retail signature LCE GODEAU MEULAN, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high; and the pair of five-light candelabra en suite -- 16½in. (42cm.) high; each piece also raised on a giltwood stand (3)
