An Annamese Blue and White Pear-Shaped Vase
14th-15th century
The body potted with eight subtle lobes and painted with a central band of alternating panels of basketweave and foliate sprays, above a band of petal lappets on the lower body and below a band of pendent petals alternately decorated with wave pattern and foliate sprays on the shoulder, the waisted neck encircled by a narrow foliate band below narrow upright leaves and the top of the everted rim painted with a ruyi band repeated on the spreading foot ring
