The exterior decorated with two blue-ground dragons racing amidst blue clouds above a band of rocks and crashing waves, all within double-line borders
5 9/16in. (14.1cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

The mark, Zhi yuan tang zhi, may be translated, 'Made for the Hall of Wide Extensions'.
A similar pair of bowls was sold in these rooms, 21 March 2000, lot 355.
