Yongzheng six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period (1723-1735)
The rounded sides rising to a flared rim and molded in low relief on the exterior with a band of six interlocked archaistic dragons reserved on an opaque lemon-yellow ground, the interior glazed white

A similar bowl of this very unusual design with a translucent green glaze highlighting the dragon band is illustrated by J. Ayers, Far Eastern Ceramics in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 1980, no. 211 and another was sold at Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 23 May 1978, lot 168.
