Of flattened, rounded form, finely carved through the ruby-red overlay with a woman weaving in a hut, a skein of silk hanging above her, the reverse with a farmer and his water buffalo tilling a field, stopper

Lot Essay

The combination of a woman weaving and a farmer tilling his field symbolizes peace within the empire.
