A VERY RARE AND FINELY ENAMELED IMPERIAL FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN BOTTLE
Jingdezhen Imperial kilns, Jiaqing four-character mark in iron-red and of the period
Of tall, flattened, high-shouldered tapering form, finely enameled with a continuous scene of Shoulao and a crane standing on clouds above crashing waves, the reverse with the immortal Lan Caihe carrying a covered jar and standing in a willow tree boat being ferried across the sea, all between gilt and underglaze-blue lappet and ruyi borders, the waisted neck decorated with floral scroll, stopper

This is part of an original series of eight bottles which was broken up into pairs during the 1970's. Another pair is illustrated in the J & J Collection (H. Moss, V. Graham, K. B.
