(A little browned, running title on R1v with slight printing fault, lacking blanks.) Contemporary polished calf, gilt-ruled, morocco lettering-pieces, marbled edges and endpapers (spine rubbed, joints slightly cracked).

FIRST EDITION. Not a systematic treatise but a valuable summary of the opinions Malthus had reached on various subjects, explaining his differences with Ricardo. Goldsmiths' 22767; Kress C.577.
