A Dutch-engraved light baluster table-bell
Circa 1750
The waisted upper bowl with an accouchement scene depicting a seated midwife pulling the rope of a cradle with a baby, beside a table laid with two goblets and three dishes filled with sweetmeats and a new mother holding a baby lying in a canopied bed surmounted by an eagle allegorical of God's Love or Youth and Strength, on a tiled floor, below the inscription DE CRAAMVROU EN T. KINTIE (The new mother and her baby), joined by a knopped section enclosing a tear, to the lower inverted bell-shaped bowl applied with a fixed ring suspending a clapper
