A pair of French porcelain claret-ground teacaddies in a fitted tortoise-shell casket
Circa 1840
The rectangular teacaddies gilt and painted in colours, each shoulder reserved with a floral cartouche, the claret-ground with floral garlands in gilt, the covers painted with gallants in landscape vignettes, the rectangular tortoise-shell casket with slightly domed cover, the interior of the edges ivory-lined, on bun feet (gilding slightly rubbed, key to the casket lacking)
Teacaddies 14.2 cm. (5 5/8 in.) high, casket 17 cm. (6¾ in.) wide, 18.7 cm. (7 3/8 in.) high and 13 cm. (5 1/8 in.) deep (2)
