AN EXQUISITE BELLE EPOQUE DIAMOND AND PEARL LAPEL WATCH, BY CARTIER
The openwork lozenge-shaped pendant, centering upon a pearl, measuring approximately 6.50 mm, decorated with old mine, old European and rose-cut diamond foliate motifs, to the old European-cut diamond border, with seed pearl trim, the reverse set with a watch, of gilt-finished jeweled lever movement, the navette-shaped engine-turned dial, with blued-steel hands and Roman numerals, enclosed within a white enameled and polished gold case, suspended by a rose-cut diamond hoop, accented by a diamond collet, from a series of articulated rose-cut diamond foliate links, joined by similarly-set twin bar links to the old European-cut diamond scrolled surmount, mounted in platinum and gold, circa 1910, with French assay marks
