Lot Essay

From 1948 up until the 1960s a bracelet composed of small gold beads was a famous Van Cleef & Arpels design. There were many variations and it was nicknamed pelouse (lawn), and took the name 'bagatelli' when the gold beads were decorated with little 'Hawaian' flowers, as seen in these examples
