TWO CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL PLATES, A TEAPOT STAND AND A COFFEE CUP,
18th century,
The first with the arms of Campbell of Inverneill, here the Campell coat replaces the sail on the ship of Lorne, motto Fit via vi, on the rim enamelled flowering boughs, 9½in. (24.1cm) diam.; the second with arms of Mills impaling Hatch, motto Amor et amicitia, gilt spearhead on the the well and center and rim with finely enamelled rose tulip and peonies, 8¾ (22.3cm.) diam.; the hexagonal teapot stand, with the arms of Sharp impaling Wyman, enamelled in colors with two birds perched on flowering peony, the lobed border with scrolling foliage, 5 1/8in. (13cm.) wide; the coffee cup with the arms of the Poulterers' Company, motto Remember Your Oath, the rim with gilt spearhead, 2½ (6.3cm.) high (4)
