A PAIR OF GEORGE II SILVER-GILT TEA CADDIES AND SUGAR BOX IN A CARVED MOTHER-OF-PEARL CASE
Mark of Thomas Heming, London, 1757
Each oblong, engraved with borders of scrolling foliage against a matted ground, the sliding covers applied with scroll and shell finial, each later fitted with wood liners for use as cigarette holders, in an associated fitted silver-mounted mother-of-pearl case carved with floral panels, the caddies and sugar box each marked under base and cover
