The gilt-finished jewelled movement with cylinder escapement, parachute suspension and compensation curb, quarter repeating on two gongs, gold cuvette, the engine-turned dial with Roman numerals on silvered chapter ring, blued steel Breguet hands, the circular case with engine-turned decoration to the band and hinged back, quarter repeat mechanism operated through the pendant, cuvette signed and numbered

Lot Essay

The Etablissment Mixte series was designed by Breguet and the escapements were made in the Breguet workshops. Other than the escapements however, the watches were produced outside of the Breguet workshops. Production of the series commenced in 1806 with serial number 1, and concluded in 1832 with serial number 2421.
