Lot Essay

Krone produced this pen to honor Lord Nelson's ship, the H.M.S. Victory, at the Battle of Trafalgar. Each example contains a small piece of wood from the original boat that has been set in the silver band of the cap. A large section of the body of the pen is made of the ivory of a mammoth found in Siberia. A certificate confirms that this rare material is believed to be more than 10,000 years old. This pen is number 56 from a limited edition of 150 pieces.
