Tasting note : Picking started September 25 and finished the day before the rains came. Consequently a vastly superior wine, the finest of the '64 Mèdocs. Still virtually opaque; lovely scent, spicy, violets, crisp yet ripe; sweet, fairly full-bodied, rich, velvety, well laden with fruit, nicely balanced. M.B. (GVWB II)
