North East Iran, 10th century
On flat foot, the white interior with a bold inverted kufic inscription, the hastae and some of the horizontal strokes worked with complex knots, the centre with a small roundel, the exterior plain white, repaired breaks, slight flaking of glaze, minimal restoration
8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) diam.
