marked Fabergé and with the workmaster's mark of Johan Victor Aarne, St. Petersburg, circa 1896, with scratched inventory number 59853
On raised circular bowenite base with silver-gilt acanthus leaf and reeded rims, the eight double photograph frames with silver-gilt laurel-leaf rims with a rosette at each corner, fixed to a central pivot surmounted by a stylized urn with ribbon-tied laurel swags and surmounted by an acorn, on three foliate scroll feet, fully marked, in a original mahogany fitted case stamped 'Fabergé, St. Petersburg, Moscow with Imperial warrant'
