Lot Essay

In the present lot the artist has made use of a Dutch mahogany side chair of Louis XVI style and a Dutch giltwood Louis XVI style mirror. The table is probably English and is an oak gateleg. The sober, yet elegant Louis XVI style complements the simplicity of this composition.
