A PAIR OF SÈVRES STYLE PORCELAIN PINK-GROUND BALUSTER VASES AND COVERS
Mid 19th century, spurious blue interlaced L's marks to covers and bases, incised C4n2, signed Simon.
Each with waisted cover and berried finial, above a gadrooned shoulder, finely painted with an oval mythological view of a maiden attended by putti, within a foliate gilt surround surmounted by a moulded crescent and female mask, a bearded horned mask suspending gilt berried laurel below, the reverse with a wooded landscape, on a beaded and spiral fluted socle
