The deep red resin fountain pen with 18k gold filligree, the cap accented with beadwork and circular-cut rubies, with an 18k gold nib engraved with the Russian double-headed eagle motif, with Certificate in original Montblanc presentation box with outer packaging

This pen was created in 1997 to celebrate Catherine the Great. Her affairs were legendary but her reading habits testify to philosophical curiosity and literary taste. At the age of 34 she proclaimed herself the new Tsarina and remained in power for over thirty years.
