Lot Essay

Elvis Presley as Lucky Jackson can be seen wearing an identical pullover in the opening scenes of Viva Las Vegas. Initially when he enters the Flamingo Hotel and gambles in the casino, and when he is working on his race car and meets Rusty Martin [Ann-Margret] for the first time.

According to the vendor, this costume came from the David Weisz Co. auction of the MGM Star Wardrobe, Culver City, California, 3rd May, 1970. Although this costume does not appear to be listed in the catalogue, it was included, amongst other items, in an addenda to the main catalogue.
