A SILVER-MOUNTED CHINESE UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN SMALL PEAR-SHAPED EWER AND HINGED COVER
Kangxi period (1662-1722), the mounts contemporary with the porcelain, and probably Dutch
painted in outline and wash with a butterfly hovering above clumps of flowers issuing from pierced rocks, with curved tubular spout at right-angles to a looped tubular handle, the cover painted with a boy at play, and mounted with a scalloped rim below a shell-shaped thumbpiece, (tip of spout with slight restoration)
