Caldwell & Co, Philadelphia, stamped English Sterling; the waste-bowl, mark of Charles Edwards, London, 1898; the mustard pot, mark of Hancock & Co., London, 1968; the bell, mark of Wakely & Wheeler, London, 1972; one toast-rack, mark of Harry Atkin, Sheffield, 1895, the other Birmingham, 1897
The sugar-vase boat-shaped, on oval pedestal foot, with beaded borders, and reeded swing handle marked on base; the circular waste-bowl on pedestal foot partly spiral-fluted, chased with ribbon-tied drapery swags, with a vacant oval cartouche marked on side, the base mark of MAPPIN & WEBB; the mustard-pot plain cylindrical with moulded borders, scroll thumbpiece and handle, and plain hinged cover, with blue glass liner, marked on side; the bell with baluster stem, reeded borders and spool-shaped finial, with teardrop clapper, marked on side and clapper; one toast-rack five-bar, oblong with scalloped bars and shaped handle, on four ball feet, the other five-bar, shaped oblong, with heart-shaped bars and handle, on four ball feet, each marked on base
