Two German fayence pewter-mounted tankards
Circa 1750
Painted in colours with manganese-red dashed ground, comprising: one probably Dorotheenthal with flower decoration, the domed pewter cover inscribed MBZ 1754 and connected with a ball thumbpiece to the loop handle, 25 cm. high; and one Erfurt decorated with floral cartouches, the raised flat pewter cover connected with a ball thumbpiece to the loop handle, 23.5 cm. high
