Moulded with a large shrew amongst blossoming sprays to the base of the neck, painted with panels of fruiting vine branches and scrolling foliage, small glaze chips and frittings

Lot Essay

Zoomorphic examples of kendis form a small group of which the elephant and frog shape are the most common. Examples of bulls and cows are extremely rare as is the above kendi that has been modelled as a shrew.
