Lot Essay

The Dun Emer Guild was founded in 1902 by Evelyn Gleeson with the support of the two sisters of the artist Jack Yeats, Lily and Elizabeth Yeats. The Guild was a collective of women artists and artisans, producing carpets, tapestries and other textiles, embossed leather, bookbindings and enamelling work.
