A Pinxton cylindrical porter mug
Circa 1800
Painted in the manner of William Billingsley with a generous spray of garden flowers among scattered green and gilt leaf sprigs, above a blue line, the rim with a thick blue line and gilt line, the strap handle painted in blue with husk ornament to the top interior terminal and pendant flowerheads and stiff leaves to the outer terminals (small glaze chip to rim and some scratches)
