Note:
Shen Tianxin, a native of Zhejiang was born Zechun, but adopted his sobriquet name Tianxin as his proper name. His other sobriquet names are Gongcui and Pingweng. He graduated from Meiji University in Japan and was an official of both the Qing court and the Republic government. He was an adept calligrapher, practising all the different scripts, and also good at painting plum blossoms.
