FOUR CYPRIOT WHEELMADE WHITE PAINTED WARE VESSELS
CYPRO-GEOMETRIC, 1050-750 B.C.
Comprising a stirrup jar with globular depressed body, the narrow concave false neck with central knop on top and two attached vertical handles, side spout with flaring rim, on conical foot, decorated with latticed triangles around the shoulder, encircling bands below and ladder pattern down the handles, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) high; a barrel-flask with single handle and short neck with collared flaring rim, repaired, 7½ in. (19 cm.) high; a jar with wide neck and two vertical handles, on conical foot, 5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high; and a larger jar with ovoid body on ring foot, two horizontally attached loop handles on the shoulder, repaired, 10¼ in. (26 cm.) high, all with similar latticed geometric motifs and encircling bands (4)
