The front ornament consisting of a pair of finely modelled recumbent lions with three spheres between them, two granulated and one with globules, the border above with globules set in wire circles within beaded wire on top of which are set three bosses surmounted by globules, below the lions a border containing globules and filigree leaf motifs, the back plain but ridged vertically with six beaded wires separating the ridges, with border above containing seven beaded wire tongues, gold hinge preserved
