the flatenned seated animal with starey-eyed expression clasps his joined knees with his long arms -- 1¾in. (4.3cm.) high; a wooden netsuke of a toad standing on an upturned sandal -- 1¾in. (4.5cm.) long; and a lacquered wooden netsuke of a standing priest -- 3in. (7.6cm.) high, (old wear, losses to lacquer).
