A bronze ding and pierced cover
17th Century
of circular shape on cylindrical legs and with upright loop handles, the main body decorated with incised taotie masks and confronting stylised dragons between flanges on a leiwen ground, the pierced cover of various precious objects with a surmounted buddhistic lion finial -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, (finial re-stuck).
