decorated in underglaze blue and copper red with overglaze enamels in turquoise, green, iron red, and yellow, with a carp emerging from waves in a central roundel below bands of ruyi motifs on a diaper pattern ground, carp swimming amid aquatic weeds to the exterior, gilt metal rim -- 8 5/8in. (22cm.) diam, underglaze blue Xuande six character mark, George Eumorfopoulos Collection label to base.
