A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE-CABINETS
Circa 1790, adapted from a larger cabinet and with subsequential alterations, now with rounded corners
Each of breakfront form with molded cornice and rounded corners above two pairs of ogee-arched glazed doors enclosing a cream silk-lined shelved interior, the outset bases also with molded edge above two pairs of oval-panelled doors, enclosing a central long drawer above vertical folio divides, the flanking doors enclosing shelves, on a plinth, some elements with an inscribed paper label 9462 and 9463 respectively
