Dated 1742 and signed with initials G.B.
Each depicting a capriccio of classical ruins with shepherds, shepherdesses and courtiers in their original carved oval giltwood frames with molded edge and carved pierced shell motifs at the cardinal points, issuing acanthus leaf and husk garlands, surmounted to the top also with a blackamoor mask, one panel signed G.B. beneath a flaming cartouche and dated 1742
