Blue interlaced L's enclosing the date letter H for 1760 and painter's mark for Evans to all but the cream-jug, the tray incised 6u a, the cup and saucer oo
Painted in colours with exotic birds in wooded landscape vignettes within ciselé gilt cartouches of bands and trailing flowering branches, comprising:
A rectangular plateau with Vitruvian scroll border (plateau 'tiroir à jours'), 7¼in. (18.5cm.) wide
A footed cream-jug (pot à lait 'à trois pieds', 3ème grandeur), 3in. (7.5cm.) high
A sugar-bowl and cover (pot à sucre 'Bouret', 3ème grandeur), 2 7/8in. (7.5cm.) high
A cup and saucer (gobelet 'Bouillard' et soucoupe, 3ème grandeur), 3¾in. (9.5cm.) diam., the saucer (5)

Lot Essay
