A SEVRES BLEU CELESTE CIRCULAR DISH FROM THE ROHAN SERVICE (COMPOTIER ROND)
Blue interlaced L's enclosing the date letter S for 1771 and painter's mark for Aloncle
The octafoil shallow bowl painted with birds on branches in a landscape and reserved on the turquoise ground within a gilt ciselè surround of oak leaves and acorns, the lower portion as the roots of an oak tree, gilt line rim
8 3/8in. (21.2cm.) diam.
