2o (284 x 196 mm). 442 leaves. 42 lines and headline, double-column. Gothic types 5:175 (headings) and 11:85 (text). Capital spaces. (Marginal worming in the first two quires, marginal loss on F5 touching text, intermittent light browning and spotting.) Contemporary South-German (probably Augsburg) blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, covers panelled with triple fillets, large central panel tooled with intersecting fillets forming a saltire-pattern, each compartment decorated with a repeated built-up ornament consisting of four palmettes, outer panel with eagle, rosette and pomegranate tools, brass clasps and catches (lower cover a bit stained and rubbed).
