FIRST AMERICAN EDITION OF THE AUTHOR'S FIRST BOOK, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY DAHLBERG TO HIS BRITISH PUBLISHER on the front free endpaper: "For Constant Huntington--with sincere affection, friendship--this as a memento--Edward Dahlberg. New York City, Feb. 17, 1930." Huntington was editor at Putnam's in London which first published the grossly underrated Bottom Dogs in 1929.
