SEUSS, Dr. Original watercolor signed ("Dr Seuss") of the character Thoober, 244 x 234 mm, on illustration card, stamped "CP" on verso, some light browning along outer blank margins, otherwise in very fine condition, with colors bright and fresh.
A VERY FINE, FINISHED SEUSS WATERCOLOR, most likely dating from his early period. As much of Seuss' artwork and manuscript material was left to what is now in the Dr. Seuss Collection at the University of California at San Diego, original Seuss artwork has become increasingly rare on the market.
[With:] Printed Christmas card sent by the Geisels, n.d., the front cover with an image of a Walrus, inside reading "Our Yule Walrus...wishes Your Yule Walrus... a... Very Merry Xmas... The Geisels."
