Lot Essay

George Henry Gibbs of Aldenham, Herts., and Clifton Hampden, Oxfordshire, eldest son of Antony Gibbs (1756-1815) and Dorothea Barnetta, second daughter of William Hucks of Knaresborough, married his cousin, Caroline (1842) sixth daughter of Rev. Charles Crawley-Boevey and had issue (see following lot).
