A FANTASTIC ARRAY OF BORDEAUX & PORT FEATURING MANY RARE CLASSICS: FROM FONSECA 1927, HAUT-BRION 1945 TO D'YQUEM 1959
Property of a Gentleman
The following wines have all been removed from a temparature controlled underground cellar. Many were purchased when young from some of the America's first ever wine auctions. Careful only to acquire wines that were not too old, in excllent condition and from rock solid provenance, they have not been moved since. Often purchased upon the advice of Michael Broadbent M.W. for either their value for money or pure drinking enjoyment, the time has now come to explore other area's of the ever expanding fine wine world.
I have tasted two bottles from this cellar, a Mouton 1979 & a Sandeman 1963, both had levels at very top shoulder and both were in fine form (please see my tasting notes under the Lot descriptions). There are some great verticals, an enormous array fine claret for current consumption and rare twentieth century classics and it represents an excellent opportunity for collectors and consumers alike that should not be missed.

TWENTY VINTAGES OF LATOUR STARTING WITH THE LEGENDARY 1929
Château Latour--Vintage 1929
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Level: top shoulder, bin-soiled label
Latour made superlative wines in both the 1928 and 1929 vintages
(unlike Lafite and Haut-Brion), the '29 being endowed with great
richness and depth, velvety sweetness and great length. Top marks - a
perfect drink when last noted in September 1995. MB
