The octagonal hinged top centred by two dancing figures within scrolling foliate and rockwork marquetry, with scrolling lines to the reverse, enclosing a fitted interior with nine lidded compartments each inlaid with various flowers, above a yellow silk-lined basket, above a hexagonal canted shaft and tripartite base, on paw feet, the top shaved and the marquetry partially lost
