Contemporary English straight-grained red morocco, gilt and blindstamped spine, covers with floral border enclosing blindstamped greek key border interspersed with a tool containing a cross, within a gilt border with floral and other decorations at the corners and the centre, at the centre a gilt sphinx tool (extremities lightly rubbed), inner gilt dentelles, gold watered silk endpapers, g.e.
