Mounted contents leaf within a fine engraved border and 36 interleaved lithographed plates. Contemporary ?Russian tree calf, spine gilt in compartments, 4 borders variously made up of small tools, fleurons and a Greek key pattern, gilt fan ornament at corners (rubbed and faded), original pictorial front wrapper bound in.
Issued to accompany and illustrate Gaspard Drouville's Voyage en Perse pendant les années 1812-13 (Paris, 1822). Coloured copies also exist. cf. Brunet II, 324; Colas 900.
