FIRST EDITION of the first work by the eminent Victorian architect, T.L. Donaldson, a result of his tour to Italy in 1819 where he went to measure and draw the principal buildings of Pompeii. Brunet II, 116 (listed under Cockburn): "Ce bel ouvrage est du même format que les Antiquités d' Athènes de Stuart."
